Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
miichart.com is a fan-made tools and guides site for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream (LTD). This policy explains exactly what data is involved when you use it, who the data is shared with, and the choices you have. Browsing and every tool on this site work anonymously with no account. The one place we do hold personal data is the community wall: if you choose to sign in with Google to post, comment, or react, we store the account details and content described below.
Who we are
miichart.com (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for the limited data described here. We are an independent, fan-made site and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo. You can reach us using the address on our contact page for any privacy question or request.
What we collect (and don't)
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information. The data involved falls into the categories below — your account and community content if you sign in, analytics, data you store locally in your own browser, third-party Mii rendering, and advertising.
Signing in is entirely optional. The personality calculator, quiz, Mii creator, QR decoder, pixel-art converter, height calculator, and every guide work fully anonymously — no account, and nothing about you leaves your browser except the anonymous analytics described below.
Accounts & community content (only if you sign in)
To post, comment, or react on the community wall you sign in with Google. When you do, Google passes us your name, email address, profile picture URL, and Google account identifier. We store these, together with the sign-in tokens and session identifier that keep you logged in, in our own database (Cloudflare D1). We use them only to attribute your posts to you, keep you signed in, and let moderators contact you about your content — we never use them for advertising or share them with advertisers.
We also store the content you choose to submit: your community display name, avatar, optional bio, the text of your posts and comments, your reactions, and any images you upload. Uploaded images are held in our own Cloudflare R2 storage along with their original filename, file type, size, and dimensions.
Posts, comments, and images go through a moderation queue before they appear. Once approved, your display name, avatar, and submitted content are publicly visible on the community wall and may be indexed by search engines. Please do not include anything private in a post.
You can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it at any time by emailing the address on our contact page. Community accounts are for users aged 13 and over.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous usage (pages viewed, rough region, device type). It sets cookies such as _ga and _gid. You can opt out at any time using your browser's cookie controls. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Data stored in your browser
Some tools save data locally in your browser's localStorage — Mii drafts, your saved collection, recently-viewed items, and a designs-saved counter. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it any time via your browser settings.
Third-party Mii rendering
When you use our Mii creator, decoder, or other rendering tools, the Mii configuration data is sent through our caching proxy to a third-party rendering service (mii-unsecure.ariankordi.net) to generate the Mii image. This data describes a Mii's appearance settings, not your identity.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to display ads, which helps keep this site free. Google is a third-party vendor on this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
These ad cookies may collect information such as your approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, and the pages you view, in order to measure and personalise the ads shown. We do not control these third-party cookies and we do not receive the personal data they process. For more on how Google uses data when you use our site, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
You have choices about ad personalisation:
- Opt out of personalised Google ads at Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of many third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices (or youronlinechoices.eu in the EU).
- Even after opting out, you may still see ads — they will just be non-personalised.
Cookies & your choices
Cookies on this site fall into three groups: essential cookies — a first-party session cookie set only after you sign in, which keeps you logged in and cannot be turned off without signing out; analytics cookies (Google Analytics, e.g. _ga) that help us understand aggregate usage; and advertising cookies set by Google and other third-party ad vendors as described above. We do not use cookies to build a personal profile of you.
You can opt out at any time through your browser's cookie controls — most browsers let you block or delete cookies on a per-site basis — or via the Google and industry opt-out tools linked above. Blocking cookies will not break the core tools on this site.
Data retention
If you have signed in, your account details and community content stay in our database and image storage until you ask us to delete them (or you delete the content yourself); sign-in sessions expire on their own and rejected uploads are purged automatically. If you have never signed in, we hold no personal data about you on our servers at all. Google Analytics retains aggregate, anonymised usage data according to Google's own retention settings (currently set to a maximum of 14 months). Advertising data is retained by Google and its ad partners under their policies, not ours. Data you save locally (Mii drafts, collections) stays in your browser until you clear it.
International data transfers
Our analytics and advertising providers (Google) and our Mii rendering proxy may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. These providers rely on their own safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers. By using the site you understand that this processing may take place.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Where we process data, our legal basis is your consent (for analytics and advertising cookies, and for creating a community account) and our legitimate interest in running and improving a free site. Performing the service you asked for is the basis for storing the posts and comments you submit. You may ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and content, by emailing the address on our contact page.
EU/UK visitors have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. California residents have the right to know, delete, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA — note that we do not sell personal information.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
